TGIF, my Skeeterholics! Long week = Short blog. I’m writing this Thurs night & it’s been a very looong day for me. 3 things for your “to-do” list this weekend: check out Global Ignite Week, learn where one of these events is going on around you, and GO! My wife & I attended Ignite Tulsa tonight and really had a great time listening to some passionate speakers. Topics ranged from “Top 10 Things I Learned as An Alpha Blonde” to feminism/”menaissance” discussions to “A People’s Revolution of Crappy American Music.” Happy Friday, gang! Take a load off, you’ve earned it. Kick back & have a drink:
Top Gun
2 oz. Orange Juice
1 1/4 oz. Rum
1/2 oz. Bacardi Black Rum
2 oz. Pineapple
Use Spiced rum for recipe , then float 151 proof Rum on top. Serve in a Highball Glass, and remember: if you can only handle one, the plaque for the alternates is in the ladies room!!

The new La Vida Skeeter site is up! LVS v2.0? I still have a little work to do, but for the most part, it’s complete. I’ve been wanting to change it up for a while now and finally found a way: Comicpress (a wordpress theme for webcomics). Posting is easier, archiving is easier, images take less time to download, AND the comment section is improved. You can now use your Facebook, Twitter, or Open ID identity when leaving a comment (thanks to the Disqus comment system). Also, it’s even easier to remember how to get here. La Vida Skeeter can now be accessed via “mosquitocomic.com.” Anyway, peruse the site. Check the archives for comics/blogs/drink recipes, leave a comment, tell a friend, and just have a good time!
